School life ☀ Melbourne School Photographer

Lifestyle photography allows for a unique perspective in capturing everyday school life, focusing on the candid moments of kids being themselves. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph many local primary school students as they explored their daily activities, without staging or directing. My goal was to capture them as they naturally are: curious, engaged, and full of energy (!) - whilst also showcasing the spirit of the school.

Recently I took a look at the various school websites to see my images at work - and it brought me much joy! It was so lovely to see these little sparks of school life scattered about the school news and info, immediately giving the viewer a real insight into the culture of the school.

These unposed images reflect the real experiences of school life—moments of concentration, bursts of laughter, and the small adventures that make each day memorable. For me, lifestyle photography in a school setting is all about documenting the authentic spirit of childhood as it naturally unfolds, creating a record of the joy and curiosity that define these early years, and really showing the heart of the school.
